Lady Gaga’s ‘A-YO’ Is Likely To Please Those Who Hated ‘Perfect Illusion’

Lady Gaga‘s previous single Perfect Illusion was divisive to say the least, mostly because it signalled a huge stylistic shift for Gaga.

While her new single A-YO continues that country/rock/blues theme this one is definitely centred more in the pop world with all the licks, hooks and runs to make a huge radio track.

It’s brassy and gritty but there’s also a killer pop sensibility to it that’s probably the closest we’re going to get the Gaga of old.

Joanne is out 21st October.
