ecca-vandal-inEcca Vandal may be the coolest, grittiest act in Australia right now. Her EP End Of Time released earlier this year was badass from start to finish and her lives show are on another level.

She’s played her own headline tour, knocked it out of the park and BIGSOUND and she’s heading around the country with Laneway Festival in February. On top of that, she’ll play Pandora’s massive warehouse party this weekend playing alongside Ladyhawke, Seth Sentry and Nicole Millar.

We knew that she’d have a sick music taste given how slamming her own tunes are, so we asked her to put together a playlist of songs she’s vibing right now and here it is with a description of why she chose each.

1. Arctic Monkey – R U Mine
this is one of my favourite tracks off what I think is their best record – AM

2. The Rootrs – The Seed
this is a classic that i’ve been spinning lately. I just love Cody Chestnutt!!

3. Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Multi-Love
Good songwriting. Love the mood of this track .. how good is that vocal?

4. Kaytranada with Anderson Paak – Glowed Up
I’m loving Anderson Paak – love his vocal tone and he’s a boss drummer too, did you know that?

5. Deftones – Change (In The House of Flies)
Just revisited this album again (White Pony) – one of my all time favourites

6. The Pixies – Baal’s Back

loving the new record

7. Sampa the Great – 2 4
She’s just all sorts of RAD… Love her lyrical content, her tone and delevery on point everytime.

8. Zack De La Rocha – Digging for Windows
SO good to hear his voice back!!! A seriously cool collab with him an Run The Jewels on the production tip!

9. Goldlink – Fall in Love

He’s one of my favourite MC’s right now. I think he’s the real deal

10. DZ Deathrays – Pollyanna

I recently heard this for the first time at their show at Bigsound before it was release. I loved it then and love it even more now that I can listen to it on repeat! Super excited to hit the road with these champions later on in the year
