There are very few records that strike you on the first listen but Choker’s Honeybloom is one of them.
In a week where Travis Scott, YG and Mac Miller all released huge records, Honeybloom quietly dropped but it’s well worth prioritising.
It’s post-Blonde R&B that consistently detours with adventurous melodies and unpredictable production. The vocals are what stitch it together with Choker proving to have one of the most affecting and recognisable voices around.
Honeybloom is the follow-up to his 2017 record Peak and it’s longer and more ambitious.
