22-year old Minneapolis singer Aaraon Aye has dropped his debut project Orphan but you wouldn’t know it’s his first listening to it.
Orphan is the cohesive work of a quietly confident future star who sounds like he already knows he’s setting himself up for big things.
The seven-track project is centres around his upbringing, city and family, giving us an impossibly concise introduction to him.
The record’s called Orphan because his mother passed away but he wants people to think of people like Superman and Harry Potter when they hear that word, as he told The Fader.
It’s that kind of positivity that makes Orphan such an affecting project on its initial listen.
